We offer a warm environment and friendly staff with over 46 years of combined dental experience. Our practice is limited to endodontic procedures (root canal treatments). Because we specialize in endodontics, we can focus on your comfort while providing an extremely high level of care. Our office uses industry-leading technology, including 3D imaging, to ensure you receive the best care available today.
There is no replacement for your natural teeth. Endodontics gives you the opportunity to save your tooth rather than replace it with more expensive alternatives. Our team of experts can often perform your treatment in just one visit.

New Patient Information
Our office works exclusively provides endodontic treatment on a referral basis. Please discuss with your doctor if our office services are right for you. Endodontists require special training along with a minimum of two years’ residency to receive their specialty certificate. Dr. Wiswall has surpassed this and received his master’s degree. He is also one of the few endodontists that are board-certified by the American Board of Endodontics.

After your dentist provides a referral, we can help you schedule your appointment on the phone. Please call us at 605-716-3546. The office is located in Clocktower Plaza at 2525 West Main St. in Suite 305 Rapid City, SD 57702. Our friendly staff will provide you with a login and password to register for your appointment via text or email.
Before Your First Appointment
Save time by registering in the comfort of your own home. Login here. Be sure to enter any current medications you’re taking. Please continue your prescribed medications on the day of your appointment.
During Your Appointment
Dr. Wiswall will perform a focused exam and discuss the details of your case with you before beginning treatment. Feel free to ask any questions you have at this time. If you are scheduled for a treatment appointment, all of our treatments can be comfortably completed with local anesthetic only, similar to a filling.

What is a root canal treatment?
Root canal treatment or endodontic treatment is a dental procedure that allows patients to save their natural tooth when the pulp or nerve has become diseased. Root canal treatment is performed with local anesthetic only similar to a filling, and can usually be performed in one or two visits.
What does root canal treatment cost?
Costs vary for each treatment, but are typically lower than the cost associated with tooth extraction and replacement. Our office files all major dental benefit plans (insurance) for patients who have them.
Does it hurt?
Root canal treatment is performed with local anesthetic only, similar to a filling. Patients should not experience pain during the procedure.
Can’t I just get an implant?
Root canal treatment can typically allow you to maintain your natural tooth with fewer appointments, less cost, fewer future interventions, and better function, all with similar success rates to other options.
